I hesitate to even attempt to mention hearts
they have been stolen by poets and advertisers alike
by the shape we have given them quite unlike the shape they are
but I will
mention them
mention my encounter with my own
I saw it on the screen
as many expectant parents see one not their own
and yet their own
that is how it felt
to see the main workhorse of my being
so diligently enabling my everything
